I won the "Big Balls" award at this year's House of Shock Christmas Party/Awards ceremony! In order to get the award, one must go above and beyond the call of duity durring the course of the Halloween season. I'm so proud!
This is me modeling this year's cast and crew t-shirt and holding the trophy I got:

I took The Walk
Yesterday Hanson (Yes, MMMBop Hanson) came to New Orleans and hosted a walk for charity. Check out http://www.takethewalk.net/ for all the details about their cause and what they're doing. They've so far managed to walk one and a half times around the world through the combined efforts of everyone who has gotten involved.
After walking a mile barefoot together, they performed two songs for us.
I didn't realize they were about to sing and I had just gotten to the table to fill out my card so that my mile would be counted and suddenly I'm right there, front and center, the only people between them and me were the people working the tables trying to organize everything. Needless to say it was an experience I'll never forget.

More House of Shock
Here is B and me getting ready to go last night.
And this was me last night with one of the other actors. This guy's costume is awesome!
This last weekend was extreemly busy. While the final head count has yet to be announced, last night we had over 2,000 people come through before 10pm, and we weren't let out of the house until a little after 1am.
Also, I've lost six pounds from the work out I've been getting. Hurrah!

Here's another one
Last night was even better than opening night at House of Shock. I got a lot of good scares, and chased a few people into the next room. At one point a woman freaked out, grabbed me in a bear hug, and tried to rescue me from my demon captors. It was hillarious! Here's a picture of me and the demon who beats me up the most:
My latex upside-down cross wound pealed off in the last half hour of the show because it was so hot inside. Earlier in the night the fan had stopped working so everyone was even more covered in sweat than normal. The people throwing me around kept losing their grips on my arms which sent me flying into the crowd. Fortunately, by that point, the stage blood all over me had dried so I wasn't smearing it all over the patrons.

Playing With James Galway

You can see a Video and hear the World Record Breaking Event at James Galway's website...

It sounds better than I expected 2000+ flutes to sound and lasted much too long :)
IF you're brave, watch the video and see if you can find me or any other of your flute playing friends.

Just a quick post to say that I'm minutes away from heading to the second of three full-cast House of Shock meetings for the summer. For those who aren't familliar with House of Shock, it is the country's scarriest haunted attraction, it runs the entire length of October, and I'm an actress in it. I play a victim in the Satanic Church scene, which means I get thrown around alot.
If all goes well, you may be able to watch me on national TV!
More on that as things progress.

Ugly Architecture???
As interesting and well done as this is, I still find it really annoying as well..
Check out this web site http://www.costaverde.com/727.html to see all of the rooms and the beautiful view from the balcony...
So, what do you think... IS it beautiful or ugly???

Hi everyone,
I found the My Space Page of one of Colin's Band Members..
You can see what country he's in and what club/hotel/Civic Center etc. he's playing at as well. I also scarfed these pictures by googling his band members' names.
You can also hear Colin playing "Simple Diggs" on this web site... Colin told me not to listen too closely though.. He was sight reading the chord changes!!!

Truckin'
It was time to say goodbye
to the beautiful spruce that grew in our back yard.
Disease had dictated its fate.
We felt it was better to take it down
than to have it fall on our neighbor's dome.
Everyone seemed to arrive at once..
Trucks for the roofers and for the tree removal.
Trucks were lined up down the street waiting to pull in.
As I look these over, there were still trucks that I didn't get shots of.
The shot below shows the
tiles being lifted up onto the roof.
