Lenore doesn't like Mardi Gras, because it makes people set off fire crackers. She decided to demonstrate this by chewing the power cord of our answering machine so that it was just barely working until we touched it in an attempt to play back messages. It is now effectivly dead until we get a chance to replace it this weekend.
